The teachers are what make the school. There is a PA Group that is awful and very clicky. New Presidents took over in the past year who have several kids and they make choices to benefit their kids and friends ONLY. They got involved with allocating the school space during Covid incorrectly by only adressing their friends complaining and it has effected all. They created Slack for communication yet every time a parent has a concern it gets shot down and deflected. We don't need clicky PA Presidents but ones who represent the students and school, bring up issues and actually help everyone and not just themselves and the few who click around afterschool at the park after school ends. Not all of us can take time out from work to click around and get to know the gossip for the week. Knock all that off and the school would be a great as the Teachers and Administration could be.

Overall, our experience at the school has been good. Teachers have been supportive and helpful to my child and I feel like I can go to them with questions. The leadership team has improved over the last year but there is still some work to be done.

I agree with the below about the PA. Too clicky, my child has been left out of a several parties due to the PA and their stupidity. The "volunteer mothers" need to get real jobs instead of being nosy to see what other kids are doing. The school should do its job instead of asking "volunteers/mothers" to do their jobs that they are there to do. if funding isn't possible to put licensed/schooled DOE staff then the superintendent should be called. Seriously.

If the PA didn't exist or less of them the school would be great. It is very clicky and if your child isn't in a specific group the parents treat the outside kid like an outsider and not invite them to parties, social events etc. The PA and parents groups are very helicopter. Some of them know better than to do that so it is shame on them. Other than that academics are great.
