My children did very well at EHS. My eldest received numerous college scholarships and received a 75% scholarship for the University of Miami. The guidance counselor was excellent in preparing my kids for college admissions. MY younger child struggled a bit was ADD and he was given accommodations and got into a few colleges of his choice. He learned how to learn in EHS and did quite well in college.
My 3 children received an excellent educational experience in the Eastchester School District. At the high school, they achieved academically and were able to take many honors & AP classes. The extra curricular activities and sports programs also help my children grow and mature into confident adults. Thank you Eastchester School District!
The eastchester school district is an average school district. Its good as far as providing a good academic learning atmosphere-the teachers can teach and have control over their classes. Alot of the students are a direct reflection of their parents-opinionated and unhappy but Im grateful my kids arent that way. our experience was ok there. I dealt with a couple of difficult teachers but I let them know that how they're treating my kid wasnt good enough and that all stopped, just like any where. Your students will get a good education here. You just have to let the teachers know you wont tolerate any favortism or alienation when it comes to your kid and all will be fine. Its just another average school in new york state. Would i reccommend it? As long as you're no pushover.
This school is the WORST. I don't know HOW it has 9 stars. Fox Lane has 8 stars, but several people have told me how wonderful Fox Lane High School is. My uncle, who is a teacher, has said that Fox Lane is a greaaaaaattttt school (emphasis on great). Eastchester students are raised to be very snotty, prejudice, and everything is chosen by who knows who. Jazz Co., for example, their afterschool dance club, holds favoritism. Only the people who have family members that know the teachers from when THEY went to school, get placed in the front. Also, the education is mediocre. The teachers don't care about the students, and the students don't care about each other. Whoever wrote these positive reviews must've wrote them 30 years ago, because they are definitely not accurate for the present. If you want a great community to start a family and great schools for your child(ren), send them to the Bedford Central School District. - a FORMER Eastchester Student
