Excellent and caring school! A lot of educational programmes and connections to school resources

My son started school this November at Robert Finley middle school. He has been going to private school since pre K. When he got to Robert Finley the teachers and guidance counselor were very welcoming. Some of the books that they use are the same as the private school. I am very satisfied with the school. And most of all he is happy and they have a lot of extra curricula activities.

My child was not happy at this school. I agree that there are teachers who are ineffective, using belittling, and mocking at times to embarass the students. My children would come home stressed from teacher's sarcasm and ignoring of problem behavior (e.g. students cursing at and around my children without any action taken). I seriously thought about home schooling. I was surprised that the principal made such an effort to have fun at school that they had a dress up as a "superhero or villain day" and a separate "zombie or vampire day". I would have liked to have seen more academic motivation through math, science and grammar games.
