Both my daughters have gone to Woodside - my older daughter has moved on to Oakside for 2nd and 3rd grade, and my younger is in Kindergarten at Woodside. Both are in the Dual Language program where they learn in both Spanish and English. My current kindergartener came in not reading, and is now reading short books. Learning has been fun and completely stress-free for her. The teaching quality at the school is top-notch, and we have experienced different teachers with both children. Teachers at Woodside are held to a high standard and it shows. The arts and music programs in Peekskill are fantastic and that begins at Woodside. The environment is caring and diverse. We couldn't be happier.

The schools have a great dual language and enrichment programs. It is amazing to see all that Peekskill Schools have to offer to our kids! My daughter loves school and she has learned a lot. Not to forget all the performing arts program; It's wonderful as well.

Our son has had a wonderful experience at Woodside. The teachers are incredibly dedicated and highly professional. Our son started kindergarten knowing his letters, but not yet reading, and he is now reading considerably above grade level as he finishes first grade. Thanks to the dual language program, he is also learning to read in Spanish this year, which we do not speak at home. He has also made many wonderful friends, and we love the diversity of his classroom. White, black, hispanic, and asian - the children all get along and appreciate each other in a warm and respectful atmosphere. Despite its reputation and test score numbers, we have been very pleasantly surprised by our experience in the Peekskill district. Highly recommended!
