Pine City School

I went to this school as a kid and would have given it the highest rating possible then. I was ecstatic when I got the opportunity to send my child there. Teachers are wonderful and caring. When Elmira School District decided to merge schools-this poor school went down hill fast. Disorganized, lack of caring, frustration from teachers that shows through to students, lack of allowing parental involvement. I actually got a note home saying parents were not allowed to come to class parties because they didn't have the room and not to send anything in for parties unless I was asked to. These were great memories I had as a child of my mom being a Homeroom mother. I felt very unwelcome there. I am glad we have moved and hope to have a better experience at my sons new school.
