The Teachers and Student are Very Friendly and are also Respectful.Great School for learning!
This school has gone under administrative changes and not for the better. The principal and new assistant principal are not prepared to be leaders of a middle school. We are very disappointed and will not be sending our next child to Bell. Very disappointed in the District 25 Superintendent for her decisions regarding Bell Academy.
We like this school A LOT better than the local JHS. My only complaint here is that the parent/teacher communication needs to be updated. The planner/note system doesn't work. Email access to the teachers is not available although necessary, and access to grades throughout the year on a website system is also necessary but not available. Other than that, this school made my child much happier than the last. It's also much easier to voice concerns to the administration vs my last JHS. However, I really do wish my concerns about teacher & grade communication would be addressed. Phone call messages into the office and using the planners as a way of communication are not effective long term. The important matter is that my child is much happier here.
Well where do I begin? First of all the halls are wayyyy too crammed, we once got backed up in the halls and we had to back up so the eighth grade could get to lunch! The teachers are crazy and disorganized, for example, one of my teachers lost my PROJECT! How do you loose a students project? Another thing is they assign tons of homework in each of the 5 subjects and only one teacher bothers to check it! They don't have any girl sports except cheerleading! A lot of the students are rude and mean. There is wayy too much drama in the school and not enough people to handle it! All I could say is that I'm a sixth grader who expected more from Bell, but now I'm transferring -___-
