P.S. 115 Glen Oaks

P.S.115Q is a wonderful and caring school. The Administration along with the Parent Coordinator provide our school community with daily and weekly updates, reminders and resources as we adjust to this new learning environment. They reply to emails and answer the telephone. I must mention that our Parent Coordinator provides us with his cell phone number and allows us to call, chat or text with any concerns regardless if it is during the evening. Wow! How thoughtful and kind.

This school is phenomenal. 2017 Blue Ribbon Award Winner. Breakfast with the Principal. Open Door Policy. Talk to your Teacher Tuesdays. Debate Club/Robotics/Chess/After School. I am sure you and your children would love it here.

I feel very "stuck" here. Once you are in the GT program there is little to nothing you can do to move your child to a different school other than your zones gen-ed program. Although there are some things I have enjoyed at this school, most I have not. They are quick to label children and never give them a chance. They do not care to think outside the box to better any of them. It you are not a favorite, you will not be respected. Especially if you complain. You will be shrugged off and you and your child will be talked about behind your back.

My children enjoy their time here and I trust this school and all of the staffs to care for my children on a daily basis.
