Ps 203 Oakland Gardens

This school has molded my daughter into a well rounded student! Best choice I’ve made thus far!

My overall experience at this school was exceptional! Out of all of the schools I have been to, this one has been the best, and that is NOT an exaggeration! The school has class plays every Friday, they are very just about safety, and they offer many clubs such as Chorus, Drama, Dance, STEM, etc. All the principals the school has been through have been very great and wonderful. The school's condition is also impressive. Bulletin boards of colorful and bright student activities and projects are plastered on almost every wall. The teachers have impeccable ways to interact learning with the students and impact fun ways to increase brainpower and knowledge. They don't bore the kids with rules, they make learning enjoyable and satisfactory. Whether in a club or not, kids take music, dance, art, science, and creative arts classes once a week. The school gives cool summer projects assigned to the students on the last day of school which have to be completed and turned in on the first day. In the last year, 5th Grade, the school offers a Graduation Dance dated on June 21, following a Graduation Ceremony the next day on June 22. There are so many more great things about this school I cannot put into words. Did you know that P.S. 203 is a Blue Ribbon school? It is #1 in the city and #2 in the state! As a 5th Grader that has been here for almost 3 years, I would recommend this school most out of all the schools in New York. If you were considering enrolling your children in a different school, I would highly advise to reconsider and take a better look at this school. Have your child spend a year here and they are guaranteed to love it and want to stay until the last year,

PS 203 is an amazing school supported by great teachers, administrative and PTA. Projects are part of homework started from 1st grade. There are a lot of homework, especially for the GT classes and homogenous classes.

PS 203 is definitely one of the best schools in district 26. I moved here from Staten Island and I know I have made the right choice. My daughter just spent her first year at PS 203 as a kindergardener, she totally loves everything of it. I have seen tremendous progresses and improvments since she started school. From not knowing the language, reading or writing to now a regular reader who can read advance books and write her own composition, novel, etc. For Math, the class didn't just teach her the basic, but also teached finance courses so they can learn how to use and save money. That was awesome. Take acadamic aside, my daughter just loves being in class with her classmates and loved the teachers. This is the most important because i want my child to be happy in school and enjoys learning, period. I can see that overall, kids in PS 203 share commom goals, they love to play and learn together, thats the atmospheres/ enviornments that PS 203/ its students & parents created. Its a team efforts, PS 203 rocks.
