Ps 99 Kew Gardens

I would rate the school 8...my daughter is in 5th grade now... and always excited and looking foward to go to school... . that’s the most importance

Was pretty good. Segregated lunch tables, ended last september, really was unfair treatment. My friends and I rebelled against this, sitting at opposite gender tables. Teachers were good. Food was terrible (SCHOOLFOOD IS NEVER GOOD). Overall supportive environment

My cousin is in 2nd grade, and says that the school teaches you very well. She says making friends is very easy. 5/5 recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about PS 99. School has been excellent, teachers always go above and beyond, administration is supportive with regards to parent concerns. Their PA is amazing and is the reason for their successful afterschool program and almost every event. This is the way NYC schools should be. If PS 99 is so atrocious it would be reflected on their quality reviews. Instead their numbers keep rising and more funding is being offered for everything from a new computer lab and smart boards in the classes to a new playground in the main building. It is true the principal can be a little short at times, but she runs a tight ship and everything she does is for those children. I can't tell you how many times she goes into each classroom to check in on the children and their teachers. And the kids notice, my son likes her and tells me when she comes by! It has just been a very good experience and I'm happy my children get to bea part of it.
