The teachers in this school are creative, dedicated, and have foresight about what today's students need to prepare for tomorrow's careers and jobs. Their Back to the Future unit started with an historical look at development of a technology and its implications for society, the economy, the environment, global impact and other aspects influenced by the technology. From there, they explored aspects of the future from the vantage point of currently emerging technologies. This unit ends with an assignment in which students create scenarios and identify entrepreneurial opportunities that will be in demand in the future. As a Syracuse University professor, I look forward to having students like this in my classroom four years from now, if only more schools were as creative and innovative as OHMS.

I think the other comment gives an unfair review of the school as a whole. While I did not have any experience with the previous principal (he was replaced), the experiences that I have had with this school have been positive across the board. I'm very happy to have my children attending the Westhill School District and can't say enough about the great teachers and facilities!

While having a mix of good and bad teachers the principal fails in many areas. From bullying students to setting a poor example for the entire school, along with poor comunication skills when speaking with adults. In discusions with other parents words of advice have been "you just get through it". This school is a poor example of the entire district which I feel is a good system.
