0 out of 10. Would never recommend someone send their child here. My daughter has since transferred to Trumansburg Elementary school, and is THRIVING.

This school has been through 3 principals since my child has attended there, which should say a lot. Very displeased with the math education. I believe that there must be too many children in one class for the teacher to handle. They seem to just blow off any concern that you try to follow through with. I have heard many parents express the same frustrations about this school as well! They seem to win a ton of grants and they are not using it to better academic education. They use it for looks and for their sports programs. I also agree with the post from March 18th 2016, its a prison there! No creativity or compassion. They want zombie children that have no personality. Hopefully if your child attends there, they will receive a teacher that is excited about teaching instead of mean miserable teachers that need to retire. Kids should not dread going to school everyday, it is setting them up for depression and failure. Adult life is not easy but teachers can set them up to succeed and maybe they will show some enthusiasm to develop a love of learning. I can go on for days about this place so I will just leave it at that!

It's like a prison down there now, I have been excited for my kids to start school so I could come to their classes for parties and go on field trips. Well those days are gone now with a principal that comes from a more urban area bringing her fear of the unknown to our small town, we as parents arent even welcome in the building! Ive missed my daughters first class party and field trip because I wasn't invited, even though I have filled out the paperwork for the background check and I'm sure I passed...schools with community involvement do better, that is a proven fact, at this rate, our school will begin to fail.
