West Haverstraw Elementary School

My daughter loves it here but they should receive more homework.

I only have kindergarten experience but they are very delayed when comes to school announcements of school activites. No community based avtivities.

My daughter attends this school and I must say its been a great experience! Teachers are involved and show they care, it also helps that we are involved parents that work together with the teachers and help our child achieve her goals academically! Moreover, my son will start kindergarten and it helps to know the teacher already and know he will do just great!

My son has been with WHES for 2 years, throughout his venture, all I can say is it's been the worse experience not only for him but for me as a parent as well. There's little to no homework, the teachers do not seem interested in teaching, but only focus on behavior skills instead of academics. The principal and assistant principal does not come across as leaders of this school, which causes this school to be very unorganized. Should have researched further before moving into this district.
