Martin Luther King Elementary School

Everyone in FLH and MLO is called a scholar, and really should not be for obvious. I am not proud to have my child go to this school. I am really sad that this is the type of education and social interaction I am able to offer my child at this time. I have seen some good teachers that try and care, but certainly most do not. They have no problem failing kids that need a better way of being taught. They do not feel pressure to help the child improve and if nothing is said, they will keep getting away with giving our children a terrible education. Some of the children act worse than wild animals. You can definetly feel the staff does not care which is a reflection of how poor leadership is in the Wyandanch district. We need much better if the schools are ever going to get better.

Very good. My son goes to this school. I have had a good experience so far. His teacher Mrs.gerkens and Ms. Taylor are excellent teachers

This school is a disgrace. I recall when I went up to the school they were trying to locate a child that they had misplaced!! Parents called for help and they were trying to figure out where the child went. My child told me they fed them crackers for breakfast!!!! WTHeck is that!!

This is one of the worst schools I have ever encountered. The people are so careless, and disrespectful. The teachers act like they dont care and only want a pay check. They have no organization, and have several problems that never get addressed. I had to make a police report for my child who came home with bruises.
