It was fine enough, there was a ton of academic pressure to take advanced courses and fill your schedule up. This school pressures you with work until you are unraveling at the seams from stress and anxiety.

Parent of 2 daughters who graduated from there. I've stayed engaged since the youngest graduated almost 15 years ago, volunteering, interviewing students for my college alma mater. Top flight teachers, administrators, facilities, academics & extracurricular activities; supportive parents, community and educational foundation.

Our son has been attending Conestoga since his freshman year. We have always been thrilled with their quality, but in the last two years have been even more thrilled with their support. After a traumatic brain injury that affected his concentration ability (and made him suicidal), the school has supported him throughout the challenges. He has been two years ahead in math since 6th grade, and they challenge him while at the same time supporting him and helping him study. The compassion is unmatched, and while his grades slipped some since the injury, they have helped him keep them respectable -- to the point that he earned an academic scholarship at his chosen university. Anyone in our district who sends their child to a private school is throwing away money. Also, their music program is outstanding -- whoever complained that they need outside lessons, well, for a kid who wants to be a professional musician, yes, that's necessary -- as it would be for any school! It's not a music school! But the quality of student performances is very high, and they consistently have many students in district chorus and higher. First rate school.

I attended Conestoga my sophomore through senior years. Yes, this school offers more AP classes, foreign languages, and after school clubs than just about any school out there, but this all comes at a price. The quality of teaching in the honors and AP classes is very poor. The teachers do not necessarily teach the subject, but teach you the test to pass the subject. I am someone who genuinely enjoys learning and this school puts so much pressure on test scores and good colleges that is takes the enjoyment out of learning. The music program is the same way. Due to all of the students signing up for music classes so that they look desirable to colleges, the quality of the music programs is horrendous. Most of the students in the class do not invest themselves into the classes whatsoever. The students that are at all serious about music must take outside lessons in order to better themselves. My previous school had a fantastic Spanish program, and I believe I learned more from my old school in one year than I learned in all three years at Conestoga. This school may look like a great school on paper, but it certainly disappointed me!
