My son is in the life skills class in Robeson this year and I was hesitating to write a review until the school year was out. I must say I have dealt with alot of teachers, aides, principals, secretaries and nurses, but none as caring and professional as the staff at this school. His primary teacher Mrs. Gebhart is a joy and literally responds to my every question small or big almost immediately. I have never been in a room with so many people who just enjoy kids and strive to teach them not just curriculum, but a sense of self worth! They are understanding and forthright and just all around amazing. I had an amazing school and teaching staff growing up and I am over joyed that my son will have the same experience! So, if you're looking to move to a district ....look no more!

I love this school. I have had two children complete their elementary education here, and 2 more still enrolled. I continue to be impressed with their staff and commitment to all aspects of the children. From their self esteem and ethics to their academics and test scores. I bought a house last year and my only criteria was that my home had to be located in this schools area. It's just that good.

We have had 2 kids go through this school and must say that it is such a wonderful school! The principal is the best--the kids love him and he is very "hands on" (even if he is a Steelers fan; we'll forgive him on that one). The teachers are great and really care about the kids. The school as a whole is very innovative--it has an organic garden and new butterfly pavilion where kids can experience nature. It did have a multi-age tract, which I'm disappointed was cut from the budget this year, though they assure us that the classroom structure will continue in the multi-age format, which is small developmental/skill groups that allow the teachers to teach to the kids where they are at academically instead of taking a "one size fits all" approach. They are also not obsessed with "the Test" and include all sorts of fun/experiential things in their curriculum. The other nice thing is that they do not get letter grades. Their report cards consist of many skill areas in each subject and reflect if those skills are being achieved...a much more accurate and helpful way of measuring learning! We love this school!
