East Ward El School

I have 4 kids attended East Ward Elem. we love the school.

We have one child who attended EW K through 5, another currently in 5, and another in 1st grade. We love East Ward. It feels like a big family. Young dynamic principal sets the tone. Couldn't be happier.

We love East Ward! The Principal is very personable and approachable, and has answered all of my emails. My son is in first grade and his teacher is the perfect blend of loving and structured. He loves school b/c of her. She has been teaching for 18 years. His K teacher had been teaching for close to 25 years and was excellent academically. He was reading by the end of K and doing very well. The Home and School is very active and try hard to create a community. All the events we have attended have been great. My son wants to attend every event they host. We are very happy.

I have a 4th grader and a 1st grader at East Ward and my experience has been one filled with only positives. The teachers have been extraordinary and our "new" principal is wonderful. He knows how to communicate effectively with the teachers, parents and students. Our 4th grader is in the "DEEP" (gifted) program and looks forward to meeting the challenges that are given to him each week. Our 1st grader has gone from not wanting to go to school to getting up before I can even wake her so that she can get there! The Home and School and PTO are active and responsible for so many wonderful activities, fundraisers and special "treats" for the children! I highly recommend this school!
