Overall, my experience at Lionville Middle School was a good one, I had decent teachers who helped me to succeed both socially and academically. While I endured academic and social success at LMS, I was concerned with what I saw in other students and teachers. For example, students in learning support typically drown academically; from what I’ve witnessed in friends, the stress piles up until you break, and the grades continue to suffer. The teachers in the learning support program are completely incompetent and do not care how their students do, I’ve actually heard teachers insult their students academic abilities to their faces. Also, from a social standpoint, students that are more on the antisocial side are not treated equally by teachers, and have a much harder time making friends and succeeding socially. The administration does care however, finals have actually been replaced by a year long project that incorporates all academic subjects, and actually allows students to learn and grow instead of taking long, useless tests at the end of the year. So overall, not a bad experience, but the school itself, not amazing.

We moved to the area when my son was in 5th grade. Contrary to some reviews, we have found DASD to be everything we were hoping for our 2 kids. Right from Shamona Creek elementary school, 6 Grade center and now LMS, we have found the entire staff to be knowledgeable and very helpful. A wide range of courses/activities/clubs are offered and they are challenging. Kids who are not upto mark are provided additional help. My son loves all his teachers and also the band program LMS offers.

The school and teachers are truly fantastic. They are committed to the development of the kids. My son is enthusiastic to attend the school and overall it’s been a great experience

This school is terrible! It's only good if your on the teacher's good side. If your not, forget it! The students are very mean and the teachers will only do little to stop it. I deal with racism, sexism, and fat jokes. Every kid who is not a jock... Beware... Lionville is hell in the woods!
