I would rate my experiences a 9/10, because my teachers are very good at meeting everyone's individual needs, and most of the teachers are very friendly, and they make it their job to get to know us. Although, my experiences as a student has been great, I do know that some kids do get bullied, and there is racism throughout the district. The administration does not tolerate any of those forms of harassment if it is brought up to their attention. Also, GA has a very high level of school spirit and athletic recognition. Our community comes together to watch various sports, and we have plenty of fun as a student body. Along with fun, we have a great educational system that I am greatful for.

my experience at this school has been pretty bad. i revived nice education but what the principles focus on is completely irrelevant to what they should be focusing on. just recently i got hit in the throat and have been bullied by the same person for a few months now and the school hasn't done a thing for me.

Great school, great teachers, great kids. We moved here from out of state and checked out all schools in the area. Greencastle won by far. There is a very close knit student body with a very high participation rate in extra curricular activities. Our kid has done very well in the school. The block scheduling (semester like classes) prepare them well for college. This is certainly a small town but we have quickly integrated in and feel at home here. The sports programs are also generally well coached. The middle school also does a great job preparing the kids for high school. The only knock is parental involvement in extracurricular stuff. While a lot of kids participate, it's always the same parents working the events and booster clubs. However, for us this is OK as we participate in our kids activities as much as we can and it keeps us in touch with the teachers, coaches, and most important, we know who are kid is hanging out with. The kids we have met are very respectful and treat us like we're one of the crew.

We have been at this school for 3 years and have felt the benefits of the personal attention from staff and teachers. GAHS has an excellent career preparatory program There are internships and job shadowing opportunities available, plus AP courses and early-to-college classes. The music program is also excellent.
