My first year at Mapletown wasn't exactly all I thought it was going to be. The teachers have they're favorites and if they don't like you, it's gonna be a rough year. I've seen girls cuss teachers out, and threaten to hit them . There's been a good bit of fights. The drama is just unbearable that's all you ever hear from the girls. The same with bullying it's pretty bad there and the teachers don't do much. The good isn't all that good unless you like chicken. There isn't a real punishment if you don't get your homework/class work done. Half of the kids on my bus you'd see smoking before they get on. You can skip classes or leave classes like its nothing. It's just bad what's happening to Mapletown wish it'd get better soon:(.

The Mapletown School is full of problems. My daughter is a recent valedictorian and has been struggling in college due to the lack of instruction at Mapletown. She made straight A's all thru school and had a very low SAT score due to the lack of available curriculum. My other daughter is now cyber schooled due to being bullied, first by a pair of teachers at Bobtown Elementary, and later by students at the high school. How can the district stop bulling when the teachers are bullies too? There are teachers at the high school who are not even real teachers, some do not have a teaching degree or appropriate certifications, only emergency certification. They are hired solely on the fact they have a relative on the school board or a friend of the superintendent, while other more qualified candidates do not get hired. Most parents do not care about there kids education, only that they graduate. I know how bad our school is more than most as my wife has been a teacher there for 7 years. Kids fail to complete assignments, or turn them in 3 months late and she is told to pass them. They are so worried about losing their funding the whole curriculum is studying for the PSSA's.

The administration refuses to do anything about the bullying issue. There are drug problems, and bomb threts. There are fights all the time, with some stuents ending up in the local juvenile detention center. The food is moldy, and the milk is clumpy. They don't give you enough to eat. Last year, a student found metal in their pasta, and two other students found maggots in their chicken patties. This school is horrible, so many students are dropping out of school becasue of these reasons.
