Wallenpaupack Area High School

Because of the pervasive bullying and racist comments, names, jokes and just plain ignorance of many of the students, and how negatively it has affected my once happy child, I would rate my experience with this school as terrible. I heard a lot of good stuff about this school district, I am intensely disappointed and disgusted by how racist these kids are.

If your child attends the elementary and middle school they will have an amazing experience. The teachers on those levels care about the students. Unfortunately the same can't be said at the High School level. I was informed that no sorry they aren't the same warm and fuzzy as across the street. I have witnessed children who thrived and succeeded in Middle School slip and flounder in High School. I have heard teachers call into question an honor students integrity. The teachers here seem more interested in showing the kids that they are bigger and meaner instead of worrying about teaching them. I realize High School is the last step before adulthood, but at the end these are the most important years in their education and the teachers and staff should be there to assure them, teach them and guide them as they enter their future.
