Disgraceful at best, for parents and students who desire to learn and excel stay away. I’ve never seen such a lack of teachers who take their job seriously instead of just a paycheck.

My experience as a parent of 2 children who graduated from Pequea Valley school district after attending all 13 years was great. Many things have happened since the earlier reviews on here from years ago, and Pequea Valley school district has improved thanks to upgrades in technology, flexible learning and our one-to-one laptop program for all students in 5-12th grade. This levels the playing field for all kids, regardless of economic background. The administration is truly passionate about creating a great learning environment to prepare students for life after high school, whether it be at college or joining the workforce.

Headed in the right direction. We thought about moving to another district or doing private school but changed our mind and we are glad we stayed. PV has made huge strides in the past few years with changes in administration and curriculum. Now with the laptop program for all HS students (the only one in PA) plus the new physical education center and gym there is no where to go but up. Numbers of those who move on to higher education are low but misleading. Our sd is located in a large agricultural area, so many students pursue other options or do mission work before college. I graduated from PV and know a current teacher and guidance counselor personally. They care about the students and really want kids to suceed. There are the usual disadvantages of going to a small school (weak sports programs at times, everybody knows everybody) but there are advantages as well (sense of community, everybody knows everybody!)
