Having went to over half a dozen different schools before graduating, I think I have something to offer here. Don't get me wrong. I really liked this school. Some of the nicest kids I knew growing up went here. But, with that said, I also have to call a spade a spade. Some of the meanest kids I grew up around also went here. I simply cannot look past the 5 years where I was bullied by over 20 different people - nearly all of of whom went to this school. On and off school property, mostly off, these bullies inflicted pain upon me which nobody should ever have to endure. Not just verbal "picking", which was a daily thing. If you dared to stand up for yourself, you were made an example of. You were ganged up on or beaten quite viciously. Yes, I've been beaten to the point of being bloody and had broken bones. Oddly enough, some of these same people are teachers now. Pennsylvania is way behind the times compared to other states when it comes to bullying. KSHS is a perfect example of this. The policies are vague, general and watered down. They are mocked, and it shows because nobody takes them seriously. Once I started going to school in other states, my life improved tenfold.

They need to take bullying a bit more seriously, being harassed is mental abuse and should be treated as any other abuse

Why is the school allowing Bullying of the students. They need to protect them and not let them get bullied.

Kittanning Senior High School is such a wonderful place, I cannot wait to go there again after I leave at 2:20pm. It has controlled my life for about two years now, I love most of my teachers since the classes are very easy, even though I'm in more advanced classes, the classes still seem pretty moderate. There are cliques however, if you're poor, usually you're an outcast, if you're rich, you get used. You are most popular when you have something to offer, after that, you're nothing. That's only the half of it, people can be mean, but for the most part the older kids only say stuff behind your back, not too your face. The younger kids get more cocky and more arrogant I think. They are pretty horrible. I personally haven't really been ridiculed at least face to face, as long as you stay on pretty good terms with the important people and smell good and not look gross you'll be fine. I'm not saying this is the best school out there for everyone but it has nice people if you look hard enough, and the teachers do care about the students, also the pride we have in our football is great, I'm nervous for the combining of us and ford city since we're rivals and all.
