My son currently goes to this school. He has ADHD and instead of his teachers helping him understand his homework, they yell at him and he is constantly getting into trouble. Had this same problem at Tamaqua. He gets bullied all the time and no matter what we do or what he does no one at that school cares. The kid who has been doing the bullying has had nothing done to him but my son is getting in trouble for telling. My daughter is supposed to go there next year but I may just pull them both out. As for the learning, all they care about is the PSSA. My son is in 4th grade and still doesn't understand most of his homework. They have them in trailers outside instead of putting them in the building, there is no actual playground, it's just a field! I think this school district needs to do some evaluating of where funds are going and where they need to go and they need to get a better policy. Anyone can walk into that building and take your kid out. Don't enroll your kid into Panther Valley.

I removed my child from Panther Valley for a few serious reasons. I'll start off by saying she is 5 years old (kindergarten) she was picked on and bullied to the point one of the children knocked her out of her chair and banged her head so the teacher had to give her an ice pack. I was never notified of this incident. Another time they put her on the wrong bus, thank God she knew her name and where she lived. The school does not call to check on your children if they are not in school like they say they do. There is no security whatsoever, anyone can just walk right in. Also anyone can remove any child off the bus, they do not check. Anyone can enter the school and ask to interview your child without your permission. If you do not like this, you have to have a lawyer send a note to the school declining all interviews without a parent present. I recommend no one sends their children to this school system. There are alternative better education sources out there. If you need a few just ask. If i could i would give this school system a -5 rating
