Great in some areas and horrible in others

My son is in first grade and has been bullied since kindergarten. The school does nothing about it. It is a horrible school. But I have to say the two teachers he has had so far have been great.

I went to this school all right years, and I would never send my own child there. The teachers, while some have redeeming qualities, rarely can handle a class. Children here are all disruptive and only empty threats of pink slips are given out. I've rarely seen students get suspended. The principle is never seen- and she had to make up a 'student dean' role so there would be an adult dealing with the students while she didn't have it. Aids and lunchladies were rude- and the school was falling apart! It was so bad that no one would drink the water from water fountains- it had a metalic, horrible taste and made people...not great. The school is horrible with acknowledging your problems and they will even deny that they are at fault. My only positive memories are some of the teachers I had who made the learning fun- but it was all just making us learn for the PSSA, so I can barely call it an education. I can barely write cursvive, and remember my times tables and these this school taught. And, oh yeah, I was apparently a mentally gifted student by their standards. It has gone downhill so much.
