Meade Gen George C School

This is by far one of the worsts schools in the area of Philadelphia, Children are basically eating cardboard lunches.. Most of the teachers are not qualified to teach. The special needs programs are a joke!. They treat their students horrible. Bullying is very active in the school by students and staff alike. The Autism support class program is garbage... The whole staff has to be fired and replaced!!!

I wish that I could give this school 4 thumbs down. I have little people from my family in this school, and it is horrifying! They will be going to a great school that is just around the corner from Meade, Come Sep.2014. The only reason I would give this school any stars is because they have an awesome music program that most Philadelphia public schools lack. Their music teachers are excellent and their performances are beautifully coordinated. I wish that All of the teachers cared as much. The fact that frightens me is that the teachers do not care once it's time for the final bell to ring. One male teacher stands outside everyday holding the door, he hears the nastiest language from these children, watches them fight and disrespect other parents and he says nothing..... I know that it's not all of their faults, they deal with constant disrespect from students and parents, but they must realize teachers are the backbone of every community. They are supposed to do the job they're trained for. We've all spent hours of our lives with teachers, they help mold you, they inform and inspire. Not at Meade. Do not send your child here unless you want them to be sad and confused everyday..

its wonderful with everything from the work , staff members , children , the test scores are also going up .

Meade school is not a good school at all the students are out of control and the staff cannot control them.There are fights inside the school 2 to 3 times daily and I am afraid for my children.However since the new Principle has arrived the school is a bit better but I still don't want my children to continue going to that school. Your children will not get a good education in the school there is so much negative going on its hard for children to to focus on positive.
