(In response to the previous post) Although your misspellings were difficult to read through, I must say "parent," I think our school system, our PTA, our community, and most of all our children rank among the best in the state, (proven) if not the Country. This community is set so well upon a hill of hard work and dedication from the aforementioned. See you at the bus stop?

I have three children, two in school, one will start next year. I feel the same as the last poster - I can't believe the way the PTA is set up, it's amazing and the ones on it do look down on you. It's like being in high school again - and you have to be BFF with the parents too or forget about the kids hanging together they have their own little click. I'm looking in another nearby school district that I know is friendlier.

The district as a whole has gone down hill Fast. The children are not encouraged to learn, the teachers are AMAZING however, they DO NOT have the time to teach the children & plant the learning seeds these teachers si desire to plant..BUT, due to the PSSAs and the NO Child Left Behind Downfall I mean law, the children are suffering. TJ Wants high scores. As A Parent. I want my children to get the education they are entitled to... Oh, please dont get me started on the PTA... That parent hit the nail on the head. I agree with the first parent about the PTA they gave them more credit than me they were being soo very kind very very kind. The PTA is SET & Im not sure if the parents that believe they are 'the stuff' were neglected in H.School or what but they need out....The parents

When we moved here, the quality of the school district was the biggest factor in choosing where to live. We moved from a very strong district and we were looking to continue our children's education in that manner. We heard so many wonderful things and looked at the great ratings it received and we were impressed.... and quite mistaken! Our children are in the elementary grades. Not having children old enough for the state championship football program, we see little to brag about. Even after asking several parents who speak highly of the schools, 'What do you love about the school district?', not one has had any articulable response. The schools are not bad, but that's about it. There is little or no incentive for students to achieve anything beyond standardized expectations. There should be more to education than PSSA scores.
