Schuylkill Haven Senior High School

My son came here from Blue Mountain as a freshman and took college prep classes. Most of his classes with with juniors and seniors because there were maybe only one or two other CP freshman, which was weird to us since his entire group of peers in Blue Mt. were all going into CP classes... not just a small handful. The teachers are great though.. they give the students a lot of individual attention and are very supportive and communicative. My son loved every one of his teachers, especially Ms. Yeungel & Mr. Soister because they go the extra mile and he loves "the way they teach" (his words). I also love when I need to email a teacher, they always respond back quick and they know exactly who and what I'm talking about. As for cons, the only ones I can think of are that I sort of get the impression that they don't push the kids hard enough, but then again, I guess that's the parent's job.. not the school. I wish more parents would be involved. Also, I miss school uniforms! When you have 3 kids in school, who have to wear what "everyone else is wearing" and have at least 14 outfits so they never wear the same thing twice in a week, it gets aggravating lol
