Shippensburg Area Senior High School

My children had and are having a positve experience with the Shippensburg schools. The "hands on" learning style of most of the teachers is greatly appreciated!

The quality of the academic programs is based heavily on the great abilities of the teachers to encourage learning in their classrooms. Most extracurricular activities are available and even some that I have not seen in other schools.

I graduated from SASHS in 97. I loved my time there!! Great programs and staff.

I have a child enrolled at Ship and I have to say I regret my decision of sending her there. The school is so disorganized! They fail to annouce important things and focus too much on sports. They need a staff that is committed to what they're doing. My daughter's math teacher refused to teach the class and allowed them have lesiure time on the computers instead of focusing on acedimcs. The assistant principal is a discrace to the entire school district he elimnated all assemblies and other school activties. He needs to either be fired or removed. He is the main cause of the school's trouble.
