Spring City El School

I was pleasantly surprised with Spring City Elementary. I have 2 children in this school from K and 1st grade to now 3rd and 4th grades. The small class, hybrid program and guidance of Principal Edmunds has been great. The hybrid program allows each child to learn at a pace that works best for them. They can move faster or slower based on how they learn. The smaller class size makes for close knit group.

I am writing specifically to discuss the issue of bullying. My daughter is currently the victim of a bully and the bullying has extended to phone calls at home of an almost but not quite enough of a threatening nature. We've asked three times for the school's cooperation to eliminate the at-school component of the bullying and have been ignored at every attempt. It is my strong belief that the truth about bullying in Spring-Ford lies not in the district being a safe environment but in that where the district silently condones bullying by not acting and demonizing the victims to the point of silence. This is the second elementary school in the district (the first being Evans, which is a pit of inappropirate management) in the last two years where one of my daughters has had their year ruined by a bully and the staff doing nothing.

The class sizes are small. I had one child in learning support and the other was not. I felt that this school worked very well with my family. My kisd loves going there and had a great expirence.
