This past school year was my last at EJHS. This school is terrible to it's students with only a few acceptions. The lunch monitors harass and curse you out, the new chorus teacher is terrible, a lot of the science teachers are slackers and or have no idea what they're doing, and kids don't have the option to take what electives they want! We also have PRIDE which was suppose to make a difference in the school, but has done nothing but given kids another thing to make fun of! I'm glad I won't have to ever come back here.

I am a student here at Pocono Mountain East Junior High School. I'm in 7th grade. I'm happily reporting that the sports in this school are great, but there are a couple problems. First of all, teachers should encourage students to do their best. My sister was a student here last year, and she said one teacher said "If you don't pass this test, you'll never get in a good college and you'll never meet your furture spouse!" Also the chorus teacher, in the beginning of the year, makes you sing a scale and then decides if you are a soprano or an alto. A lot of my friends that i know are sopranos got put in the alto section! And, like another student said, "The Soprano group sounds so good, while the rest of us sound like old men!" She's right, the alto group doesn't sound good, maybe because most of us are sopranos! Yeah some teachers are a bit harsh. But, I'm happy to report no bullying and nice students, ecspecially in sports. :)

I am a student attending Pocono Mountain East Junior High School. Within my school, there are multiple errors; teachers not understanding students when they are absent and still giving them tests, students bullying and not having consequences, as well as a feeling that they do not care about each individual student but the money they are making. Our school has cut field trips but yet there was gossip (heard from teachers) that a superintendent got a large raise. Students listen to teachers complain about significant and smaller problems daily. For example, I finishing a project with a friend asked for glue, we were given glue that was 1/10 filled and when as it quickly ran out, we were told to got to the library to get more. The librarian did not have glue of course! With this we are bombarded with quizzes, standardized tests, and things that you have not learned that the state or school expects you to know. If you do not fit basic means of these tests you are put into a lower class. Ergo, Many students are misplaced. This school needs to focus more on students and less on financial means for higher positions in the school board.
