As a current Sophmore, class of 2016, I can firmly say that this school has alot to offer, but it is what you make it. I love my school. It does boast 1100 students, yet it still retains a small town feel due to the location. AG has an accelarated learning program, which is rare in other schools, where I was able to take freshman classes in the mornings of my 8th grade year, then be bussed back to the middle school. Because of this tremendous program, I am able to either graduate early, or take AP classes a year early as I now currently am. Musically inclined students are able to take instrumental lessons during the day as classes, and be a part of one of the most successful High School Bands in Southwest PA. AG also offers hands on career courses for 10th-12th graders at the Fayette County Vocational school for FREE. The only room for improvement that i see as a student would be staffing more personally committed and caring teachers, paving the student's gravel lot, cutting back wasteful spending (ie: School hours tutors?), allowing induction of study hall periods, and more support for general freedoms ot students to meet both their educational, as well as sports-related needs.

I am a former student of AGHS. I attended from 2009-2012. I believe this school is great compared to the schools around. While all schools have their downsides, this school is flawed in the areas of JROTC and some networking the teachers do with students. Although the school lacks in these areas, these are all thrown off course by the efforts of the students. Students lead the JROTC, while the leaders do not stand up to favorited students. As for the networking, it was all done by a student leading then the teacher following (i have also only heard of this from two teachers. Both either disciplined or left the school.) Many students complain on here that the school is inadequate or unfair but that is all in the hands of the student themselves. If the student desires to learn, or in this case even cares to learn, they will be taught a well rounded education. The slackers will not gain as much as others. All in all, the school is flawed, as all are. But this school is more accepting of new students and safer than the surrounding schools.

I am still a student here and i would rather be at this school than any other school in the country. This school has some of the nicest staff you will ever meet. There are many great teachers. The sports could be improved but we give it our all. Our school may not be in the best shape but we still love it. I am proud to say i am an Albert Gallatin High School student. There are so many clubs and activities you can be invloved in. I don't know why anyone would not like this school.

Albert Gallatin is a great school, the teachers are great and the school has a great basketball team. I just can't say enough about this great school.
