Boiling Springs High School 10th-12 Grade Campus suffers from poor leadership, an overall lack of focus on results misaligned discipline procedures, and a lack of teacher/parent partnership. The majority of teachers seem to perceive parents as instrusive bothers rather than concered parents. Too many teachers are new and lack the experience of guiding students toward results - they would rather be seen as friends. There is an overall lack of classroom discipline which impacts students ability to learn. For example, students repeatedly "chew dip" during class and are not written up or disciplined; however, cell phones are taken away if seen - a severe misalignment of priorities. Students yell and run around the classroom and teachers that do try to request administrative intervention are not assisted. There is no summer reading program and very little homework. There is little emphasis placed on the SAT/ACTs, but rather teachers stress End of Course exams. Should Spartanburg school districts all combine into one large district, I would no doubt remove my child from this school. This is in sharp constrast to the great experience we had at the 9th grade campus.

This School is one of the worst schools i have been to many other schools and you are allow to have your phones out before the 1st bell ring in mornings, at lunch, and after school in and outside of school and here you can not and i have to say that when i was at the other schools that did that it cut down on the cell phones that were took from the kids and less parents coming up to the school complaning!
