The teachers at Indian Land high school are great teachers. If I ever have any questions I know I can email them or set up appointments to discuss my concerns. They are very resourceful. The track coach is amazing . He really encourages the kids to do their best. The counselors are improving each day with all the new college information that is out there.

The winner of the Gold Medal, Palmetto Award. The highest award a school may win in SC. Teachers with advanced degrees: 42.9% Teacher attendance: 95.6% Student attendance: 93.6%. Brand new school just a couple of years old and they're building an even larger on with the new $200M referendum that just passed the voters.

ILH is the perfect size school with 700-some students. We moved here a year ago and my 3 kids are now in their 2nd year. The teachers and administrators are caring and competent. My kids are not in sports and I appreciate that they don't feel left out because of that. Guidance counselor assignments are by last name so all my kids have the same one: Ms Walker. She is the best guidance counselor my kids have ever had.

My daughter transferred to Indian Land from what our former district (a school every says is tops in the State), she had an awful experience there. Came to Indian Land and was warmly welcomed by the staff, teachers. Everyone offered to help and followed through on their offer when she started this year. My daughter likes ILHS because the teachers are inspiring and I have seen her grow as a student under the tutelage of teachers that love their job. She has found the students to be welcoming as well. I'm sure everyone experience is different, but she is my last child (of five) in HS presently. I would have to say this is the best public school we've been in. While not perfect, no school is, they really try hard to use their resources well, engage the parents as well as keep things simple and practical. I had given up that schools like this still existed. For the record, I never take survey and rarely write reviews.
