Carolina Forest High School locaited at 700 Gardner Lacy Rd Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29579 is the worst school for your child to attend. Carolina Forest High does not cater to individuals that have a learning disability. This school does not understand that a students IEP needs to be analyzed, reviewed, and then changed each school year. The IEP cordinator dletes a few things, moves parts of the IEP around, does not even make a new IEP for the next school year for the student, and does not know how to correctly date the IEP, nor does the cordinator know how to include the parent in the finalization of the IEP. Carolina Forest High is also a school that does not do anything to resolve bullying issues what so ever. The teachers at this school are not there to teach, they are really only there to get a pay check and go home. I warn you ahead of time. Do not waste your time trying to contact any school councler, teacher, the school board, nor the principal. They will not respond to your email or calls. If you are lucky enough, one of them will eventually contact you back an entire month or two later, and they don’t even respond with the information you are trying to recieve knowledge on. Don’t let me get started on the PTO end of yhis school... Or should I say the lack of a PTO. They do not know how to run a PTO meeting at all. If you are planning on moving, please save you and your child the hassle that this school will bring onto you. You should make the desicion to complete your high school career where you currently live. It will be much easier for you.

If I could rate zero, I definately would. My daughter, currently a Sophomore, was bullied by her peers for 4 months with no actions performed by the administration. She reported it 7 seperate times, and they failed to call any students out of class until I showed up to the school requesting to change her schools. She now goes to Myrtle Beach High, and loves all of the students and her teachers. Don't enrol your kids here unless you want them to be bullied and/or jumped.

Our daughter is entering her Jr year this week. She has had diversity in her class choices, great experiences with her teachers, and even participated with a foreign exchange program (we hosted). Although she is very intelligent she had no enthusiasm for school until CFHS, and even her most dreaded subject is now something she looks forward to.

Lost my step daughter's transcripts for 2 weeks! Actually asked me "are you sure she graduated from here?". Upon showing them the diploma, they were like, "That doesn't help us." The guidance counselors will not call me back concerning scheduling conflicts with my son. Apparently they have no clue. Anyone who thinks this school is top notch apparently has does not have much life experience. New and shiny is not always better!
