This school lacks good communications skills and not very helpful to parents trying to get answers or seek help with child. When I tried to meet with teachers and administrators about my concerns I felt blown off and they blamed me for not being more informed about all the online resources. Coming from a small private school this school falls short. I couldn't possibly know where to find information if it was never communicated to me. I don't know what I don't know.

We have moved seventeen times during our career and this is the worst school we have attended. My son was bullied for the entire two years and our other children have had similar experiences. The young lady who works in the office is always rude. the only redeeming feature is the teachers. they are extremely competent and genuinely care about the students. The lack of communication between the office, councilors and upper administrative personnel is dismal.

We are extremely concerned about the lack of communication between WMS and the parents. Having just moved here in July from the Northeast, we have felt totally out of the loop where our child is concerned. Yes, we get reports from the Parent Portal with grades, assignments and homework, but we never know what is happening on a day to day basis. We have requested help finding a tutor for our son for Algebra since the first quarter, and our quest still goes on. Our child was beaten up at recess and expelled from school for 4 days .while we accepted this at the time,(even tho he did not fight), the other boy involved in many altercations and has been expelled numerous times. In the past, teachers and students would have known our family and that our son is not a fighter. We joined the PTA and have never been contacted, even though we asked to participate in several events. Parent involvement is extremely lacking and there seems to be no avenue to discuss this. Education is adequate, but if you want to be involved, this is not the school for you.

It really is a great school - superior. The class sizes are not small in many areas though. P.E. has 35 or more per class. Art has 35 and more per class.
