The equity of students is completely unbalanced. Kids with disabilities are strongly disadvantaged than others. Bullying and fighting are huge problems. The teacher do not try to fix any problems in bullying which ultimately results into fights which are a reoccurring problem at this school. Would not recommend

Castle Heights is an excellent school. My child loves it and so do I. The real problem is with the same parents over and over insisting their child does nothing wrong. I would bet that that these parents make as many excuses for themselves as they do for their children. The school cannot control the children if their parents are raising them as rude and unproductive members of society. We won't let a few bad apples spoil her time in middle school. The 7th grade teachers are fantastic, especially science! My child loves going to school and knows her teachers care about her. The new principal is making some really positive and fun changes!

I could not disagree with the last review more. CHMS is not progressive other than it is a new building equipt with technology. The Principal is an excelent statistics game player and that is what wins state awards. The classes are poorly taught, particularly language arts. THese kids can't distiguish an adjective from an adverb! The Band has consistently been at the bottom of the district in competitions, and the sports teams are poorly coached and the most losing in the league. The building sure is pretty, but what goes on inside, not so much.

The Castle Heights of old is long gone. The current Castle Heights is a progressive, save and enjoyable place for students to learn. I have never seen such caring, knowledgeble teachers. Ms. Kane is one of the finest principals in the Southeastern United States. Expect your child to prosper under her leadership.
