The teachers and staff usually do a fine job at teaching. I’m just upset with the fact that no one really pays attention to what’s going on at recess. My son was bullied (both physically and mentally) on many occasions (mostly at recess) because teachers were too busy chatting amongst themselves and/or on their phones. I understand that they need a break but someone needs to walk around the playground or teachers need to disperse themselves in various locations in the playground so there are less (or no) bullying situations. If this could help even one kid not have to go through what my kid went through, it is so worth it. My son is sweet and kind and literally wouldn’t hurt a fly and didn’t deserve this sort of treatment. He never told the teacher because he was too scared that he would get bullied even more for telling because he had witnessed such scenarios with other classmates.

SES is the absolute best. The teachers, the staff and most of all the amazing principle make it such a wonderful learning environment.

We love being a part of Summerville Elementary. Principal Dibble is amazing and so very kind and takes her time to speak with everyone that walks in the door. A few minor issues with a few teachers but overall an amazing staff. My girls love it there so that's truly what matters most.

The first grade teachers are awesome , but the second grade teacher my son has doesn't listen to my son concerns and the principal never has time to talk about the situations going on with my child and his teacher...I plan to move just so he can get the best where communication is important. Also every time I call or come up there the office staff is very rude.
