Wish we could give it top rating for academic effectiveness alone as we felt our kids received a great education there but unfortunately we have to consider overall environment and our overall experience, for that we give it 2 stars But the elitist, exclusive behavior of most of PTO, many parents we encountered, the Principle and some faculty members was so extreme in a way that made us feel discriminated against and severely bullied, we give it no stars Our children never once had a disciplinary issue our 3 yrs there and were top score, straight As. As well, we were active parents with the school and always generous to the school, PTO and teachers. We never had confrontation or reprimand that could promote such bullying treatment toward me or our family We could recount many concerning incidents from safety issues for children on the playground, to the many strangers that access the school property during school hours with no concern from the principle, to the way I was often singled out when I visited the school with my children in a way that made me feel watched, looked down upon, intimidated and sometimes made me and my children feel fearful since we didn't understand the reason for the discriminative and just plain mean behavior from overzealous PTO, parents, the Principle and some faculty members. That really overshadowed the decency and quality job of some of our beloved teachers there. Our overall treatment took away from what we expected to be some of the most precious, wonderful years we would share with our children. We tried really hard to give them and the culture there the benefit of the doubt and made the best showing our children to never let the bullies steal your joy. We always persevered with a smile and we were always friendly and helpful- we teach our children inclusion but that is not what Glendale showed us. Sadly, we felt it was best for the building of quality character in our children to relocate with hope of a better, more inclusive and kind environment. Such a shame as our kids did love their teachers and learned so much. Because the PTO and parents basically run the school and the Principle seems to follow their lead, we didn't see much chance for change. Very sad our children couldn't lay down their roots and we couldn't feel comfortable there as a family.

My daughter is in kindergarten this year at Glendale and we couldn't love it more! The teachers, staff, and Glendale "family" go above and beyond for the students. My daughter's teacher, Senora Kent, has been truly amazing for our first school experience.

Glendale is where I would want to send my own children. The teachers are caring, highly qualified, and full of high expectations for all learners. The staff work together to form a cohesive, loving environment for students and families. The PTO is the most hands-on PTO that I've ever seen. The Spanish Immersion enriches the curriculum, stimulates the learning and language centers of the brain, and helps these students form a solid foundation for being bilingual. Everyone at this school, the principal, teachers, school counselors, school psychologist and the custodians all genuinely care about the students. You can't ask for better!

Glendale is a wonderful public school because the teachers are so dedicated, the parental involvement is tremendous, and the funds from the PTO greatly enhance the curriculum. My son is what they call "twice exceptional" - I couldn't imagine him at any other public school. Although he does not qualify for an IEP, appropriate accommodations for his needs have been met. I LOVE Glendale!
