Okay, so I've written another review in which I highlighted all the positive of this school. But, like all schools, this one has its major downfalls. And I will now expose them as well (this is a compiled list of complaints from current seniors). First of all, the academic decathlon program is LACKING. Teachers have blatant favoritism and your hard work often goes unnoticed! For example, in one of my AP courses, me and another student were the ONLY two that made A's. YET, she COMPLETELY IGNORED me and only revealed the other student and praised him in front of the whole class! My academic achievements were thrown OUT THE WINDOW. The school lunch is disgusting and nearly inedible. Hope your child has a car to eat off-campus their junior/senior year! ALSO don't even get me started on the HORRIBLE security officers. They really think they are the police! Don't even try to get back in the school after leaving. Don't try to be out of dress code - they will put you in ISS or OCS because your shoulders are too distracting!! Dress code over education??? Parking space is HORRIBLY LIMITED and there are endless parking spots for the 5 teachers we have. Doesn't make any sense! You might as well bring a bike. SO COLD everywhere in the school. Do they own thermostats or heaters? Doubt it. Who knows where our money is going. Great school though.

Seguin is a fantastic school. My first two years of high school were in California, but I learned much more from the school here. I graduated class of 2014 and I'm so appreciative of the experience I had and the knowledge I gained. The students are all very friendly and the teachers are great! I would highly recommend this school to anyone. I believe the school itself is wonderful, and doesn't need much change. I think the dress code is a bit harsh but there's not much the school could do about that, it's more of a district problem.

Seguin is the smallest school in the district and is definitely not known as being of the most prestigious schools, however, Seguin makes up for What it lacks with academics and fine arts. I have had such a positive highschool career here and so many amazing opportunities thanks to my wonderful teachers and the theatre and band programs. I give my school a 5/5 stars because it is truly a great school and because I am extremely proud to call myself a cougar.

I use to be a student here at Juan Seguin High school. I was new to the school back in 2005. . . I was so greatful for the education I got here in Texas, compare to California. I had the greatest teachers and counselors. I graduated back 2007 and now attending good colleges in California, and I mention to my professors. . . How great the education I had back home in Texas. I don't know how it is now? . . . But I was greatful for the teachers, counselor, friends I had. Good luck to you and your children.
