Great! This school has amazing teachers and administration.

My child is in their second year attending this school, and we have been so happy. The teachers are experienced and top notch, the extra curricular activities and academic clubs keep my eager-to-learn student highly motivated and happy. Recess twice a day, music class, art class, a fun PE course, friendly lunch atmosphere... happy students and happy teachers. Wood is like a private school. We researched other local campuses and even charter options and ultimately found that "Wood familes" are more satisfied overall. So pleased we found this gem!

My child has gone to Wood since Kindergarten. We have loved it! But, he is now in 4th grade and the school year has been a disaster! The 4th grade teachers are absolutely horrible and could care less about my child :( He has always had A grades and this year he has C's and D's. The schedule for 4th grade is ludicrous! He switches classes as if he was in high school. When I voiced my concerns (repeatedly) I have been brushed off.. Trying to get a response or set up a conference is like pulling teeth! We have a new principle and vice principle and they are a joke as well :( There is NO accountability or follow up with the teachers. Sad to say I feel beat down and defeated and my child is the one who is losing :(

Wood is an excellent elementary school. The previous principal that resulted in some of the negative comments on this site was replaced after one semester in December of 2012 and the new principle has restored everything that has made this school outstanding for all of our children. The teachers are fantastic, easy to communicate with, and truly care about their students.
