I have been consistently and thoroughly impressed with the teachers, curriculum, principal and facilities at Baranoff. My wife and I wanted the family to live in a neighborhood with great schools - mission accomplished so far. My son is in 5th grade currently, and his overall experience here has clearly helped prepare him for middle school. Also, the extracurriculars are wonderful - great experiences with Student Council, Peer Mediation, Safety Patrol. Baranoff Elementary is great and Principal Purvis is a real gem.

Baranoff is a great community school. The teachers are dedicated and there is a large amount of parent involvement. School is over capacity but they seem to make it work and kids have a great learning environment.

This school is excellent. I've got two kids there and they love it. The teachers are top notch and they are learning and reading way above their grade levels. So far, we've had Ms. Trevino (outstanding and kind), Ms. Perez (just enough strict mixed with an excellent work ethic and kind), Ms. Guilette (love this woman, so good with special needs), Ms. Mitchell (very kind, but great work ethic), and Mr. Ugalde (really gets the most out of the learning experience, awesome). The parents are very involved and are encouraged to be so. You can't go wrong with this school.

WE moved into the neighborhood so my son could attend Baranoff and track to Bowie High School. Baranoff Elementary is about involvement; students, teachers school administrators and parents. Working together our children get a quality education. The teachers are great and work with the students. The administration works to keep the school at a high quality level. This is my son's fifth year and we couldn't be happier with his education. To be honest, I didn't think that AISD had a school above average, I was wrong. We had a small "bump" in the road and it was ironed out by speaking with the principal and teachers.
