Contrary to what the ratings of this school show, I loved going here. I was able to be very well prepared and learn a lot. When looking at scores remember that like 16% of people in this school are still learning English which makes standardized testing hard. I think this school is a great, diverse place to send your child.

So far it has not been a positive experience. As a parent volunteering at the school the things I see are disappointing. Great students are lost in the crowd. If your student isn't a trouble maker the staff doesn't even know who they are. Sad.

I regret sending my child to this school. The teachers are horrible. My daughter has told me very disheartening stories about her teachers who cannot answer basic questions she has. She's had to resort to YouTube videos to learn. When Principal Ward left (who was moving the school in the right direction) I hoped they would really research and recruit a strong leader for the school. Nope they just promoted the Vice Principal who was a bad choice. I barely remember her name as she seems to just coast along with no real strategy to improve the school. Parent involvement is very poor. An extremely small number of parents do a huge amount of work. That is typical of what you expect here. It feels like neither the students, teachers, administrators nor parents care at all about a solid education. Oh and one of the cool things about this school was the orchestra program (only PFISD high school to have it) but now they are canceling it. What a smart move. :(This is our 4th year & glad it will be our last. I hate to be harsh but everything I've said is true. You're MUCH better off at Pflugerville or Hendrickson.

I have been at this school for 4 years and all I can say is crazy. This school thinks it has school spirit but it really does not. Most students look dead and want to go home. The only good thing about this school are the friends I have made, other than that, nothing else.
