Ojeda's teachers are motivated and engaged to "do whatever it takes" to help their students succeed.

My daughter attended this school for one year (7th grade) and that was enough, complete lack of teacher and parent involvement, thus poor student academics. I noticed a drop in my daughters grades and took the initiative to call teachers and make conferences, one teacher took one complete month to return call, the other one was two months, was absurd but only way to get a conference call was by " throwing a fit in front office" i had tried email, phone calls left msg with asst principal and was of no use. new principal has strong leadership skills but long way to go among teachers and staff. Academics is not taken seriously at this school, seems like it is just a daycare for teens. School website is not up to date. Librarian is one of the few excellent teachers at this school. I currently enrolled my teen at Harmony school of excellence, so far she has had more homework than at this school (which i appreciate) will let you know about other school within a year. overall i really feel ojeda was a waste of my time and nothing productive was learned besides social interaction, look elsewhere if you want a school that will prepare for college, perfect if u want daycare for child

I am a community member, educator, and school leader in a local district, and I had the privilege of spending a day at Ojeda Middle School. I was blown away by the quality of education students at Ojeda were receiving. The new principal, Mr. Williams, is a strong leader who feels his job is to hire great people and remove the barriers to them doing their job well. He has set up clear behavioral, academic, and social expectations, and systems to support all members of the learning community to reach them. His unwavering belief in the capabilities of his colleagues and students to overcome every obstacle are refreshing. I believe that Ojeda Middle will soon be one of the most celebrated middle schools in Central Texas as long as he is there enabling everyone to reach their potential. Given the opportunity, I would send my own children to Ojeda without hesitation.
