Wonderful teachers but awful administration staff. The principal is never on campus on important events and when she is there she seems uninterested in engaging in the event. The Hispanic community is not even addressed at times. There was recently a family night event hosted at Carver where most of the parents attending were Hispanic, yet the speech given was not translated to Spanish to accommodate to the needs of the non-English speaking parents. This event was also very unorganized as there was not enough seating provided for the families. Parents are sometimes not even notified of events. In addition, there are no incentives offered to students such as student of the week. Overall the school is very poorly managed.

There are so many issues here at Carver. First and foremost, the admin team is disorganized and lacks leadership skills. They are ignorant of their duties and responsibilities as educational leaders. Teachers hardly receive any support. The staff is fed up with the poor treatment we receive from the principal. She emphasizes that Carver is a family, but that's not the case at all. She rarely makes an appearance at school functions and events. Her demeanor sends the message that she would rather be anywhere else than at Carver. I agree that teacher morale is low. The environment is toxic and teachers are afraid to speak up.

Very poor leadership skills. Principal doesn't care about students, parents, much less the staff. She's always late and leaves early. It's evident that she doesn't take her leadership role seriously. It's a toxic environment to work in. Teachers are afraid to discuss the problems at Carver due to fear of retaliation. It's never a good sign when Administration is constantly on campus. Teacher morale is low because the principal is very unprofessional towards the staff.
