Tarkington High School

The school dies not care about its student it just cares about the system in witch it works teachers just want to give stressful work not caring what it is, if your not a country kid the administration will tear you apart, the punishments are way to harsh and dress code is horrible, can't manage money

Excellent school district with qualified and caring faculty/staff. The student curriculum is effective and efficient.

i am currently attending Tarkington Highschool and i agree with those that say the dress code is rediculous. i think its a great school education wise but they just simply care too much about how we dress and have our hair cut the way it is. honestly i would probably do better in school if i wasn't so dissapointed about what i am allowed to look like. i try to be different but it is kind of hard when we arent allowed to express it.

I am starting to wonder about this district. Yes it is true if u dnt kiss butt or u r not in tier click then u better b ready to deal with the discrimination of this school disteict. My kids were here for over 3 yrs made good friends and liked their teachers. They even started tasking about graduating. Then boom the isd here booted them out. Yes they allow kids from all over to attend but u better be in their click for them to stay. It is sad tht now my kids are being home schooled because they refuse to go to any other school here. What does tht say about this district. Lord for bid u fall into a hardship and hv to move even dwn the Rd and take ur kids back and forth they dnt care. Do not put ur kids in this district or cleveland. They discriminate and get away with it. Some one frm the Austin board of educations needs to investigate Tarkington Isd.
