Terrible. We will be homeschooling next year as to escape the wrath of this school. There is no discipline or organization. My daughter has been a straight A student in a charter/college preparatory school before coming to Warner Elementary, she is now failing classes due to the lack of material given to her to study. We have requested multiple times for our log in for additional at home school work, with no luck in acquiring it.

This school is great if you like tax payer funded babysitting. There is a reason Texas ranks 43rd nationally in education. People who like this school are local people from Texas who have no experience any where else. If you come from the East Coast - where schools are better - you will be disappointed. The overall expectation for the students is very low. If your kid was mediocre at a school in another state, they will be a rock star here. This school only teaches things that are on the state STAAR test. They just want to post good scores. They talk about the State test every day. There are very few learning activities that do not revolve around STAAR.

We move to this area just for the schools and every day I'm very thankful for the decision we made. My kids are learning a lot, they are thriving, they have made long lasting friends, teachers do care for your kids, PTO is amazing with all their activities, parents are very involved with their kids, overall a great school!

This is the third elementary school that our kids have attended over the years. I have 3 kids at Warner. The school is so over crowded that they had to rezone Black Horse ranch subdivision to another school. Big school that is very impersonal. The school is crowded with every free space used for a classroom (computer lab taken away to be used as class space even storage areas used.) My kids hate the “Open Concept” classrooms. NO doors, and only partitions between classrooms not walls. So much noise as you can hear everything going on in the classes on either side. Also, it is a total concern for safety issues when there is not a door a teacher can close to protect students in an emergency. Because this school is so large, students are treated like cattle. There are no field trips or grade level school music programs due to the size of the school. There are only a few clubs offered here. They are treated like a lottery system. For instance, only certain grades can apply to be in the sign language club. From those who submit an application, only 20 are chosen to get to be in the club. Tough luck for everyone else. There are no franchised extracurricular programs such as Marathon kids or Kids Chess. Car pick up lines are long.My child was in the Gifted and Talented program at previous schools. In other schools, the GT program included development of critical thinking, creativity, and activities outside the normal core curriculum that were a bit more engaging for students. Not here. There is really nothing to the GT program here but the title. There is no difference in curriculum, except, they get additional work piled on like extra book reports to write. I really don’t know why they even have a GT label here. I think it is only because it is state mandated, because there is no actual GT programming. If you have a child who needs special services, or a 504 for learning disabilities such as dyslexia, this school will give you a lot of resistance. It has a terrible attitude toward parents and students in regard to this. They put up a lot of barriers for parents and do not follow through appropriately on accommodations. It has been a disheartening struggle at this school. Not all schools are like this which is what makes it even more frustrating. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably go with another school district.
