Excellent! Their IB certification will be complete this year making them the first IB elementary school in Dallas, TX.

I pulled my kid out of private school and sent him here. This school is diverse which teaches my child to deal with the real world when he graduates. He's also in their dual-language class learning spanish and the whole school is on an IB curriculum. Also, the classes are insanely small. Like one class last year had 6 kids to 1 teacher! I love this school.

My family and I are very happy with our experience at Lee Elementary. The school is very much a hidden gem in the community and is truly on the cusp of greatness. There is a growing community presence supporting the school and a burgeoning PTA that has grown by leaps and bounds. The new administration has injected enthusiasm and productivity to the school and the surrounding community and there are big plans for the future. The teachers and staff are fully engaged and continuously search for new and exciting ways to help the students become lifelong learners. There are fun and educational after school clubs that the kids love. The impending International Baccalaureate status for the school is going to elevate the already outstanding curriculum at Lee and designate it from most other schools in the district. Lee's IB designation will complete the feeder pattern path with JL Long Middle and Woodrow. The dual language program is wonderful and continues to produce bilingual and biliterate students. The longstanding garden program at the school is expanding with discussions about outdoor classroom space. There is so much heart to this hidden gem, it won't be hidden for long!

Love, love, love Robert E. Lee Elementary! My family recently moved to the area and are very happy with our new school and have been impressed since day 1. The teaching staff and principal are wonderful, the PTA is supportive, active and full of new ideas, and we are headed towards receiving our International Baccalaureate certification. Not to mention, the school benefits from community involvement from Dallas Master Gardeners--do check out our gardens, they are beautiful!
