It has been a horrible experience overall.

As an alumni of Skyline High School, it is very disappointing to see how much the school has fallen. I have two children that attend. I have been very disappointed in the unprofessional and uncaring attitude shown by most of the staff. The counseling department appears to be nothing more than people in a social club getting paid to do nothing. It took a conversation with the head of DISD counseling to resolve a very simple schedule issue my daughter had. If you call the school, expect a cold answer and be ready to be transferred to the wrong department two or three times. It seems there is no accountability in place for school staff. It is disheartening to see what was once one of the best schools in the nation become an uncaring and poorly managed school. The one good thing I can say is there are some teachers who really care about their students.

The school is still very disorganized. The counselors and people behind the desks at the offices are very rude. My child can't even talk to a counselor about personal problems or when she needs help in discussing her education. They aren't there to help the students, they just want there money. I'd say to fire everyone behind the desks and find people who actually care about the students and education for the students.

This school is very disorganized, the staff in the registration desks are extremely rude. If you want to see the effects of a lobotomy on a living being these would be the perfect people to observe. The best way to improve this school, or at least this department would to be to fire everyone behind the desk, and hire some people who care either about the students, or their jobs!
