Deer Park High School - North Campus

My two kids are currently attending this school. I never had any problems with the school or the teachers. They have so many ways to communicate, so as a parent that is really helpful and convenient. They provide good information about colleges. Overall, I really like this school.

I heard great things about DPHS and was excited for my daughter's freshman year, but now at the end of that year, I am highly disappointed. Communication at the school is terrible, it is inconsistent and late in many cases. Leadership makes decisions that are not in the best interest of the students and a one size fits all approach doesn't always make for best policy. Currently there is only one bathroom open for girls and one for boys. 500 female students are required to share one bathroom with only 2 stalls (one of which is out of order today), this was not communicated to the parents.

Principle doesn't take care of complaints. He just tells parents what they want to hear but doesn't follow up. They also do not have the safety and health of the students as their primary concern.

It has a great sports program, we won softball state championship 2 years running it's an awesome school.
