The three years our son spent at PV have been amazing. He is an AP student, a member of JNHS, student council and Honor Band. The faculty at Prairie Vista is incredible, we have had no complaints and our son has soared academically and socially. Looking forward to our next two children attending this fantastic school. Keep it up PV because you all are churning out some amazing kids!

member This school is the worst school any of my children have ever attended! The principal is awful. She held an assembly and threatened to have kids arrested and put in jail if they "dabbed" in the hallways. (Yes, go to jail for a dance move). Kids can't talk at lunchtime which is their only time to socialize and break up the day from sitting and being quiet in class for hours! The leadership is the worst I've ever seen and she needs to be fired asap! They also do not care about special education students. They do not follow the law and do not help those children succeed! My son had testing done that was supposed to take days...they guy was with my son for 20 minutes max and created a 17 page report that was copied and pasted from someone else's report because my sons report has someone else's name in it!!! Do not send your kids to Prairie Vista! As a matter of fact, don't send them to EMS-ISD at all.

Prairie Vista has a relatively new principal with a background to handle any behavior problems. There is a distinct improvement. Academics is great and there are high expectations but teachers do make themselves available to help those who struggle. Extra Curricular activities are well rounded and you can find something that interests you to participate in. I do see that Wayside offers more in the way of dance and has higher expectations of the cheerleading squad. The football time at PV is good and coaches care about boys. Choir and band are both great programs with good direction. Wish they offered better dance and that cheer was more selective. The selective process starts in middle school and sets the expectation. If they emphasize excellence in middle school, it will effect the teams at Saginaw High School. Boswell Dance and Cheer is leaps and bounds ahead of Saginaw. Sad. They are losing the competitive girls to studio dance and all star cheer rather than keep them involved in school.
